A Day in the Land of Gauchos
San Antonio de Areco is a typical “gaucho” town in the middle of our Pampas. Let’s enjoy a private tour outside the city, to learn about the Argentine countryside culture, that is really important for the population and has roots in the local history.
San Antonio de Areco is a town distant 120 km (69 miles) from Buenos Aires. This is a typical “gaucho” town in the middle of our Pampas. You will be able to enjoy its Italianized criolla architecture, skilled artisans in their workshops, the old bars, the old-fashioned stores. All of them contribute to create an atmosphere typical like one of the old days of the gauchos. Before lunchtime, we will go to estancia “El Ombú” where just a small group of people will enjoy the activities of the Estancia: horse riding, swimming pool, walking. Then we will have a delicious “asado” where you will be able to try our best meat, our Malbec wine and dessert. For lunch, we will be sitting under some old, big trees where you will feel the calmness of the country-side. After the delicious and abundant meal, there will be an amazing and peculiar show with horses. Finally, we will return to the city.
